Weekly community coffee morning in Old School from 11.30 to 12.30pm every Wednesday. Coffee tea and chat provided, open to all. A great morning to be had please come along.

Now full in Waterways Building, Clondra. New classes for children and adults will commence early in the New Year. Watch this space for booking reminder.

St. Brigid’s GAA

The St Brigid’s GAA lotto results for the 16/11/2014 were 1, 3, 6, 12. There was no Jackpot winner. €40 winner was Brendan O’Reilly. €20 winners were: Colm Harte, Denise McCloughry, Louise Bracken. The next draw is in on 29th November for a jackpot of €6,980 in the Camlin Bar, Clondra. Looking for an early Christmas gift idea? Then the yearly lotto tickets are available from any of the committee members for €45. The club would like to wish the best of luck to Cashel/St Brigids U-21s who play in the semi final of the U-21 club championship next Sunday. They will be playing either Slashers or Colmcille. Fundraising: The club are collecting scrap metal. Any Scrap metal you may have lying around can be dropped in Liam Farrell’s yard in Clondra. The only things that are not acceptable are tyres, fridges and televisions.

Calendar launch

A calendar which features St Brigid’s players baring almost all, along with other well known local personalities and local sporting clubs in Lanesboro and Ballyleague will be launched in the Richmond Inn Clondra on 22 of November at 9pm. The calendar is in aid of Pieta House West Prevention and St Christopher’s Services. The calendar costs €10. St Brigids PRO Kevin connell is growing a moustache this November to promote men’s health by supporting #Movember. Support his journey by making a donation. Congratulations to Josephine McCloughrey on the retirement as a Community Mental Health Nurse from HSE Dublin Mid Leinster. The club would like to wish Josephine health and happiness in her retirement.

Pre Christmas Craft Fair

Monster pre Christmas craft and artisan fair will be held in the GAA complex in Newtownforbes on Sunday 23rd November from 11-4pm. A huge variety of stands attending with raffle for Christmas hamper on the day. Funds in aid of Pieta House. Refreshments available.
