Thanks to all who supported the craft fair in Currycahill hall last Saturday. It was very well attended and raised some welcome funds for the parish. Don’t forget upcoming cake & jumble sale on Saturday 29th.

Clonbroney Community Games

Clonbroney Community Games recently held their AGM. Committee members for the year ahead are Deborah Spollen – Chairperson, Marita Blessington – Secretary, Grainne Lynch – Treasurer, Caroline Farrell – Ass Treasurer, PRO – Dolores Shaughnessy, Caroline Farrell – Children’s Officer.

Children interested in chess are looking for an adult to mentor them and teach them the intricacies of the game during school hours. Anyone interested please contact the school on 043 3323333.

Christmas Market

Traditional Christmas Market takes place on Sunday, 7th December from 2-5pm in Granard. Local festive products, switching on of the lights and Santa. A great festive family day for all. Enquiries please contact 087 3947376.


Congratulations to Anna Lilly Fox who recently sang on RTE’s Mooney Show. Anna reached the final five of the Search for a Star competition. Well done!

Irish Dancing

Congratulations to James Fox, Soran, who recently won a medal at the All-Ireland Irish Dancing competition held recently in the City-West Hotel in Dublin.


The John Dungan Branch of Comhaltas held their annual Trad for Trocaire on the bank holiday weekend in McElvanneys lounge. Thanks to all who made a contribution on the night. Special word of thanks to the McElvanney family who served refreshments on the night. A presentation was made to Elaine Reilly on her recent success in the Fleadh Ceoil. Cookery Demonstration

By Multyfarnham Cookery School on Monday, November 24th at 7.30pm in the Thomas Ashe Hall. Admission is €10 and proceeds go towards the Thomas Ashe Hall.


Congratulations to Michelle Shaughnessy, Graffogue, who recently completed the Dublin City Marathon as a fundraiser. She dedicated her great achievement to her late father. Well done Michelle!
