At the 11am Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mullahoran on Sunday last 21 children from second class in the local National School were enrolled for First Holy Communion next year and 37 children from 5th and 6th clssses were enrolled for Confirmation. There was a packed congregation for the occasion with the aspirants taking part in the liturgy with special prayers readings and singing. Fr. Owen, in welcoming the children, their parents and their teachers pointed out that all have a special role in preparing and encouraging the children for the sacrament.
