Granard Visitor Centre Project
The committee wish to thank all those who bought tickets in this year’s annual members draw. This draw is our main source of funding and once more the people Granard and the surrounding parishes and indeed further afield have given great support to the project.Our draws for June and July were held at our recent public meeting which was the first to be held in our own buildings.

The death of Ronan Reilly, Ballinroey, Dring occurred on Tuesday, 4 August. His body reposed at the family home on Thursday and Friday. Removal took place to Purth Church on Friday evening. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday morning followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. May he rest in peace. Sympathy is extended to his parents Pat and Martha; brothers and sisters; his grandmother Jenny McGivney, Granardkille and the extended family circle and many friends.
The untimely death of Patrick (Paddy) Higgins, Ballymaurice, Granard occurred at his residence in the presence of his loving family on Friday, 7 August following a short illness bravely borne. His body reposed at the family home on Saturday evening. Removal took place to St. Mary’s Church, Granard on Sunday evening and funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday at 12 noon followed by burial in Granardkille New Cemetery. May he rest in peace. Sympathy is extended to his beloved wife Mairead, (nee Berry), sons Patrick and Dylan; daughters Melanie McMonagle; Sarah Carton and Shaunagh; Grandchildren Alanna, Noah and Oscar. Sister May Gaynor; brothers Mick and Jim.
