Thursday Club

Thursday Club is recommencing on Thursday, 18th September from 2pm – 4pm at the parish hall. There will be various activities and new members are always welcome.

Monster Bingo

Bingo will be held in the PJ Murphy Sports Hall on Sunday, 14th September at 3pm. €2,500 to be won. Monster raffle on the day.

Irish Dancing

Irish dancing classes will resume in the Parish Hall, Newtownforbes on Friday, the 12th of September at 6:30pm for children of all ages, and at 7:45pm for teenagers and adults. Fees €4.50 per child per lesson with an overall family rate of €10.00 per family per lesson and special reductions for those who pay by the month. Children can dance for competition or enjoyment. Parents welcome to stay at classes. No wigs, fake tan or make up for dancers. Contact Maureen at (086) 3702719.

Shorin Ryu Karate

After our long summer break our training re commences in Newtownforbes at the slightly later time of 7.30pm on Monday, 15th September and on Wednesday, 17th September in Kilglass at the usual time of 7pm. We have a very exciting year planned with new faces and training. Existing students will receive text notification re commencement of classes. Sympathy

Our prayers are requested for the happy repose of Agnes Walsh, Kilmacannon, whose funeral was on Friday last. Also for Mary Duffy, Bawnboy, (mother of Bishop Francis Duffy) and Nora Wallace, mother of Marian Cafferty, Cahanagh. We extend our deepest sympathy to all the families. May they rest in peace.
