Clinic held at Rooskey Community Centre on Wednesdays at 2.30pm will be discontinued from 30 March 2015. You can access the Community Welfare Service at Dromod on Thursdays 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Please contact the Community Welfare Service on 087 4194462 if you are unable to travel to Dromod Health Centre. Eddie Bourke Community Welfare Officer will still hold clinics in Strokestown Health Centre on Tuesdays 10 - 1pm and in Elphin Health Centre on Wednesdays 10am - 12 noon.
Congratulations to Seamus Kilcrann on receiving the Hall of Fame Award, Ollie Carley player of the year award, Cormac Tighe most dedicated player, Ciaran McHugh junior player of the year award. Congrats also to Gerry Donoghue on receiving the club person of the year award. A special word of thanks to Tommy and Teresa Cox, Cox’s Bar, Rooskey who presented a new set of jerseys to senior team. The presentation was made to the management of Dermot Washington and Jim Tighe.
Active Retirement Association

Hospice 25 Card Drive
Roscommon Mayo Hospice Rooskey branch 25 Card Drive taking place on 13 April at 8.30pm at the Community Centre, Rooskey. 1st prize €125, 2nd prize €50 3rd prize €25. Tickets cost €5. Even if you don’t play someone will play for you.
FETAC Level 4 Computer Course will start soon at Community Centre Roosky. Modules include Word Processing, Excel, Desktop Publishing, Web Design, Communications and Work Experience. Well done to our Figure Dancers, Recitation, Novelty Act and Sean Nos Dancer on bringing back four county titles to the club. They now go on to represent Kilglass and Roscommon in the Connaught finals at end of March.
Topaz Cash for Clubs
Kilglass Gaels have entered a competition with Topaz. If you purchase €40 or more on petrol or diesel at any Topaz garage just ask to have a loyalty card stamped and get a receipt. When the cards are full they can be returned with receipt to any club official. The cards will be returned to Topaz. Closing date 12 May. Prizes are as follows: 1 lucky club will win €10,000, 10 clubs win €5000, 140 clubs win €1000. Every other club entered will receive €250. We would ask that all full cards be returned to any club official on or before Thursday 26 March.
Fr Kevin’s CD Launch
Thursday, 9th April in the Landmark Hotel, Carrick on Shannon at 8.00pm (Doors open at 7pm). Tickets are available at Tighe’s Centra, The Bell Tower Shop, Dawn to Dusk, Strokestown and Hanly’s Eurospar, Strokestown. Guests appearing on the night are Fr Ray Kelly, Mary Byrne, Sandy Kelly, Charlie Mc Gettigan and Eimear Reynolds.
