While there was 13 points between the sides it was by no means a one sided game. Kildallan had a number of goal chances which if scored would have left the winning margin a lot closer. Arva did have a period of near total dominance between the 14th and 27th minutes when they scored 2-6 and led at the interval by 2-8 to 0-5. Arva scored a further 8 points in the second half while Killdallan only scored 1-1to leave Arva ahead at the long whistle. Arva team and scorers – Richard Keith, Cormac McCabe, James Morris, Shane Finnegan, Stephen Ellis, Ciaran Brady, Paul Bouchier, Fergal McGlade, Cian Sheridan, Alan Barry (0-1), Jonathan McCabe (1-5), Peter Morris (0-4), Conor McEntee, Kevin Bouchier, Conal Sheridan (1-5). Subs – Gavin Doyle (0-1), Brian Ellis, Sean McManus, Brian Fitzpatrick, Darren Gray. Arva head back west on this Sunday when they play Templeport in Ballyconnell First Ulsters Park with the throw in timed for 2.30pm in the second play off. Let us get all our supporters out for this game and be our #16th man. The winner will play Cornafean in Kingspan Breffni Park in the Championship semi-final the following weekend. Sponsorship: The St Patrick’s Arva G.A.A. Club were delighted to receive Sponsorship from Brady’s Garage, Arva which covers 2 years. The first visible sign of this new sponsorship deal is a new set of Jersey’s which the players wore on Sunday last against Kildallan. The deal was formally put in place with a launch in the Breffni Arms Hotel, Arva on Friday week last. On behalf of everyone associated with the club we sincerely thank Padraig Brady and the family on their generous sponsorship and hope it will be successful for both the company and the club.
