Race night

Lenamore National School are holding a fundraiser this Friday night, 12th September at Longford greyhound track. First race starts at 8pm and admission is 10 euro. Tickets are on sale now and admission ticket entitles entry to free draw, 1st prize 150 euro hotel voucher, 2nd prize 50 euro. Your support would be greatly appreciated and a great night is guaranteed.

Wedding

We extend congratulations to John Leonard, Ballycloghan who married Christina Campbell, Tooman, Bornacoola in a beautiful ceremony in Gortletteragh Church on Friday last. The ceremony was performed by Fr Michael Campbell, uncle of the bride and assisted by Fr Quinn parish priest Gortletteragh. John is son of Margaret and John, Ballycloghan. They were joined by family neighbours and friends at their reception in the Mullingar Park Hotel. We wish them many years of health and happiness together.

GAA

Results of GAA Lotto draw held on Monday, 1st September in Slowey’s for a jackpot of 10,000 euro. Numbers drawn were 2, 5, 22, 28. There was no jackpot winner. Match three winner of 100 euro was Tom Moran. This week’s draw took place on Monday, 8th September in The Hill, Carrickboy and results will be published next week.

Wedding

The wedding took place on Saturday last of Linda Donnelly, Newport and Jim Hunt, Cluntymullen at St Mary’s Church, Legan. Linda is daughter of Peter and Marcella and Jim is son of Cella and the late Peter Hunt. The ceremony was performed by Fr Brady. A large crowd of family friends and neighbours attended and joined them at a reception in the Annebrook Hotel, Mullingar. We wish them many happy years together.

Sympathy

We extend sincere sympathy to Fr Brady on the death of his sister, Margaret McLoughlin, Clooneena, Longford who passed away last week. May she rest in peace.
