Foróige are trying to expand in Co. Longford and in particular in Drumlish. It looking for volunteers who would be suitable and interested in setting up a Foróige club in the Drumlish locality. We remember Marie Early, Drumgowla, Kilnagross, Carrick-on-Shannon. Co. Leitrim who died recently. We offer our deepest sympathies to her husband John, sons Mark, Sean and Joseph, daughter Stephanie. Drumlish Tidy Town’s are hosting a tree planting ceremony at the Mill Road this coming Saturday morning at 10a.m. The new trees will replace those that were vandalised at Halloween last. All welcome! The village has over the past 10 years (2005 - 2014) increased its marks from a baseline of 178 in 2005 to 287 marks in 2014, as a Tidy Town we are endeavouring to reach the magic 300 in the 2015 National Tidy Town’s Competition - There are 2 months in which to get things to show village condition - the judging happens in the middle of June, so your support is vital.
Dawn mass takes place Easter Sunday the 5th of April at 6am in Kilmahon cemetery. All welcome.
