Charity Hack/ride A Charity Hack/Ride and 5K walk will take place at Deerpark Equestrian, Saturday, 28th of March at 12pm.This event is suitable for all level of riders, children must be supervised by an adult. There will be a section for children on lead reins, so if you would like to join us in this section or help us out that would be great. Due to huge interest a walking section has been added, meeting at the Mart at 12.15pm and doing the canal walk, which is buggy friendly, so please spread the word. The walk is 5K which takes in the canal. Water station at the canal. Fee for walk is €5. Walkers start at 12.30pm. Money raised will help us buy a defibrillator for Innyside Service Station and help us to upgrade our training equipment. Cap on the day will be €20 for hack and on return a run round the cross country course (skull hat and back protector must be worn ) or €10 just to do the hack round the nice quiet roads of Ballymahon and scenic banks of the canal where we’ll stop for photos and cheque presentation to our group and then parade down the town so people can see the horses and show their appreciation. Every rider and walker on the day will get a raffle ticket for a free raffle when they come back from the hack/walk and when the other riders are finished in the cross country. Refreshments will be served and tickets will be on sale for our main raffle which will be held in Murray Maghera, where there will be music. Anybody that needs a horse stabled for the night can contact Deerpark Equestrian details on their Facebook page and will only be to delighted to help you. Inny Bay B&B is only minutes away from the pub if people fancy making it a real social occasion and transport can be arranged on the night to get people to and from the pub to the B&B safely.
