Concert at Forgney NS
Parents and grandparents were treated to a very enjoyable end-of-year concert by the young students at Forgney National School on Tuesday last with lots of songs performed by the junior classes and also from the senior classes and some lively tunes on the tin whistles. Very well done to all the young boys and girls and to their music teacher, Moyra Fraser who taught them all the new songs and tunes on the tin whistles.
The teachers, pupils and audience were also treated to some great music by visitors, Mick Foster on the accordion, Willie Kavanagh on the Banjo, Tommy Kilmurray on the Bodhran and Noel Battle on the Mouth Organ, a lovely surprise for everyone. Noel Heduan very kindly videoed the Concert which was finished off by a few Scottish songs from Moyra, who hails from Scotland. Presentations were made by the Teachers to the children who received their First Holy communion this year and also the 6th class children who were confirmed this year who will be finishing at the school this week.
