The fundraising committee of the Tea Party held in Cox’s Steakhouse Dromod on 20th October in aid of the Kenyan missions would like to say a sincere thank you to all who attended the function, to all who bought and sold tickets for the event and raffle. To those who manned the door. Thanks to all who donated raffle prizes. To our sponsors, those who hosted tables, supplied food and all who helped on the night. To the musicians Sean Mahon, Hammer and Marty, Padraig Farrell, Pat Gavigan and Tom Moran, Sean Nos ar an Soinnain and Fr Kevin Fallon. To the MC on the night Kevin Mc Stay who all gave their time free of charge. To the management and staff of Cox’s Steakhouse Dromod for the use of their premises and its supply of hot food. To Milo who travelled from Wicklow to video the event. Fr Padraig Devine sends his grateful thanks for your truly remarkable support for the great mission work he is doing over in Kenya. A total of €3285 was raised by your kind generosity.

Face of Ireland

Congratulations to our own Eimear Reynolds who was crowned the Face of Ireland on Sunday night, 26 October. A large crowd attended her homecoming party at the Community Centre, Roosky on Sunday last and were entertained by Aiden Quinn, Des Wiloughby and Mary Byrne. Eimear you have done your community, parish and county proud.

Christmas Fayre

Hosted by 17th Roscommon – Kilglass/Tarmonbarry Scout Group and Shannon River Adventure Centre will be held on Sunday, 7th December from 12 – 6pm. This promises to be a great festive day for all. The event will include music, fair games stalls (Christmas items, bakery etc.) Santa, Face painting, Camp craft workshops. Activities such as Archery and Climbing wall, mulled wine and mince pies and much much more. Further details will follow in the coming weeks.
