Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament with the Rosary takes place in St. Columba’s Church each Thursday evening from 8pm - 9pm. All are welcome.

As part of their fundraising activities, the local ladies football club are holding a weekly draw based on the bonus ball in the main draw of the national lottery. Sheets are on sale in the local post office or are available from any club member. Match the bonus ball in Saturday night’s main draw and you will earn yourself €20. Lines are just €2. Six monthly tickets are available for €50 by contacting Marie Matthews. Your support would be very much appreciated each week. The winning number on Saturday 1st November was 37 with no winner.
The opening of the pheasant shooting season took place on Saturday last. Mullinalaghta / Mullahoran held a competition for it’s members for the longest bird shot on the day. The results are as follows. 1st: Raymond O’Reilly 39.375 inches. 2nd: Pamela Lee 38.25 inches. 3rd: Ben Cusworth 36.75 inches. The annual raffle also took place. The following were the winners. 1st prize of Plasma Widescreen TV went to Seamus O’ Reilly, Mullahoran. Rebecca Lee earned herself €200 by winning the 2nd prize. Seamus O’Reilly came up trumps again in 3rd place to claim €100. The committee wish to express their appreciation to the proprietors of The Hideaway for the use of the premises.
