The next meeting of the Ardagh ICA Guild will take place on Tuesday, 11th November at 7.30pm in the Heritage Centre. This is a newly formed guild and would welcome new members of all ages. Meetings take place once a month from September to June. Those considering joining are welcome to attend 2 meetings before they take out membership so why not come along to a meeting.
St. Patrick’s G.A.A. Club are pleased to announce the community walkway project at Keenan Park is now complete. This fully lit track is available to everyone in the community to exercise safely, particularly now the autumn/winter evening have set in. The lights are switched on each evening from 5pm to 10pm, so we look forward to seeing as many people as possible from the parish availing of this facility.
Since our last notes the League has been in full swing. Our A team had a good home win taking 4 points from Tyrellspass, our B team also had a good win in Ballymore taking 4 points. This week our A team travelled to Streete to take on their A team and came away with 2 points, while our B team had Streete B in Ardagh on Thursday and took 4 more points, taking them well up in the League with two more games before Christmas. Next Thursday, 6th November we have two home matches. We welcomeTyrellspass in Division 1 Streete C in Division 2. All Ardagh Bowlers please be in the centre at 7.45pm as all mats have to be set up. The death took place last week of Annie Reynolds, Glen, to her daughter Elizabeth and her family we extend our deepest sympathy. Sympathy is extended to Myles and Owen Tynan and their families on the death of their father, Henry, also to his brothers Eamon and Andy and sister Kathleen and all the relatives and friends. May they rest in peace.
