Killoe minor club are holding a fundraising clothing and recycling collection at Emmet Park, Clonee, Killoe grounds on Saturday, 3 May 2014. All unwanted clothes, textiles, mobile phones, books can be left any Friday evening at the clubhouse or you may drop them in to Hughes’ shop, Ennybegs.

Condolence

The parish express sincere sympathy to Raymond Reynolds and family, Co Leitrim, extended families and friends on the sad bereavement of his wife, Ann (nee Murphy), formerly Ohill, Killoe who was laid to rest last week. May she rest in peace. Also condolence is extended to Tommy Abbott and family, Drumeel, Ballinalee, Jean Stewart and families, Treanlawn, Killoe, extended families, friends on the sad bereavement of Tommy’s wife, Maud (nee Stewart, formerly Treanlawn, Killoe) who was laid to rest last week. May she rest in peace.

Booklets titled “Resting in peace in old Killoe” now available showing location of headstones /tombstones plus name listed. Contact Frank Hughes, Tel 087 9268585 or on sale in Hughes’ shop, Ennybegs. During recent storms, some headstones and crosses were damaged and may need repair, so do check your grave or contact Frank at above telephone number.

Condolence

Sincere sympathy is extended to the Donnelly families, Shanmullagh, Ballinamuck, Co Longford; Mary Keogh, (nee Donnelly) and families, Kellether, Killoe, Co Longford on the sad bereavement of their mother, Bridget, who was laid to rest last week. The parish express condolence to her sons James, Hughie, daughters Breege, Aine, Mary, Angela, Kathleen, sons/daughters in law, grandchildren, extended families, friends. Requiem mass was celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Ballinamuck with burial in local cemetery. May she rest in peace. Also sincere condolence is extended to the McKenna families, Clonaugh Hill, Drumlish, Co Longford, Margaret Mollighan, (nee McKenna) and families, Clontumpher, Killoe, Courtney families, Drumlish on the sad bereavement of their mother, Margaret (nee Courtney) who was laid to rest last week. The parish express condolence to the family extended families, grandchildren, sons/ daughters in law, friends. Requiem mass was celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Drumlish with burial in local cemetery. May she rest in peace.

Multiple sclerosis

The Longford branch of Multiple sclerosis wish to sincerely thank everyone for their support of 652.50 euro at the recent church gate collection within the parish, also all collectors for volunteering. In grateful appreciation.
