Ballinagh GAA would like to sincerely thank all who made their auction a success. Special thanks to non committee members who worked tirelessly to organise the event and to those who donated generously.
Ballinagh Christmas lights committee held a most successful Halloween fancy dress with songs music and entertainment galore on Friday night in McDermotts premises and with all proceeds in aid of the town’s Christmas Light’s Fund. The organisers wish to say a sincere thank you to Dermot for placing his premises at their disposal and also a big thank you to the general public for your support.
Ballinagh Women’s Group meeting in Brady’s lounge on Monday, 10th November at 8pm when the Garda crime prevention unit from Monaghan Garda station will be in attendance to give a talk on safety in the home and offer valuable information on how best to protect property from vandals and everyone will be most welcome.
Service of thanksgiving
A special service of thanksgiving for the life of the late Mrs Jane Kenny takes place in Ballinagh Mission Church on Sunday, November 9th at 8pm. Preacher Mr PJ Sexton and everyone is very welcome.
Torrential rain over the weekend caused widespread flooding over the district, especially in low lying areas and many cattle owners have now housed their animals for the duration of the months of winter.
Now that the dark evenings of winter have arrived pedestrians are advised for their own personal safety when walking on roads or lanes during the twilight or hours of darkness to wear an arm band or clothing which makes their presence visible to other road users while motorists are asked to kindly dip their lights in the face of oncoming traffic.
