St. Columba’s G.F.C will hold their Dinner Dance & Presentation in The Piker’s Lodge, Loch Gowna on Saturday, 1st March. Music for the occasion is by Rhythm & Sticks. Dinner will be served at 8.30p.m. Tickets are available from club members and in local shops at €30 each.
Congratulations are extended to Ciaran and Maura Martin, Drumhauldry, Moyne on the birth of their first child, a boy to be named Dylan, weighing in at 9 lbs. Cavan General Hospital was the venue for this happy event on Saturday, 1st February. Maura is daughter of proud grandparents Andy and Breege McManus, Cloonagh. We are delighted to inform their many well wishers that mother and newborn are in excellent health.
5K Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, 16th February assembling at Longford Rugby Club. Registration is at 11.15a.m. Entry fee is €10. Fun Run/Walk sets off at 12.30p.m. All proceeds to Longford Youth’s Rugby Club. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Your support will be appreciated.
Calendars and framed photographs of St. Columba’s winning Leader Cup team are on sale. Calendars sell at €5 each. Framed photographs @ €25. Both items are available in Mulligan’s shop and Cloonagh P.O. They make an excellent present for friends abroad.

As part of their fundraising activities the local ladies football club are holding a weekly draw based on the bonus ball in the main draw of the national lottery.
