Belated congratulations to Mark and Frances McDonnell on the birth of their baby girl, Catherine and welcome sister for Tomás and Colm. Frances is the much respected principal of St. Columba’s N.S. We are delighted to report that Frances and newborn are in excellent health.
Killeen Dramatic Society are delighted to announce their reunion and will present ‘’ The Maiden Aunt’’ a three act comedy written by Jimmy Keary on Thursday 10th and Friday 3rd April in Granard Community Centre at 8.30pm. An enjoyable night’s entertainment is guaranteed. Admission for adults is €10 and €5 for children.

St. Columba’s G.F.C held their weekly lotto draw in the Angler’s Rest on Thursday, 3rd April. The winning numbers were 5, 11, 14, 30 with jackpot of €4900 remaining intact. As part of their fundraising activities the local ladies football club are holding a weekly draw based on the bonus ball in the main draw of the national lottery. Sheets are on sale in local shops or are available from any club member. Match the bonus ball in Saturday’s night main draw and you will earn yourself €20. Lines are just €2. Six monthly tickets are available for €50 by contacting Marie Matthews. Your support would be very much appreciated each week. The winning number on Saturday 5th April was 21 with Senan Dermody, P.J. Reilly and Christy Reilly each getting €20.
The Flynn & Lynch, Life & Pensions Longford GAA 12th Annual Raceday will take place at Punchestown course on Wednesday 30th April. Always an entertaining and great social occasion all GAA supporters are encouraged to support the event. Package of €1000 (table of 10) or €100 per Ticket .
