Midlands Shotokan Karate
Sunday last, 6th April, Midlands Shotokan Karate Club held their annual Midlands Open Championship in St Mary’s Community Campus Hall, Edgeworthstown. This competition is now in its third year of running with this year’s being the largest yet. Almost 300 competitors took part in a very large range of categories throughout the day. This event could not have been run without the great help received from the community centre staff - Gerrard and Toby. A massive thank you also to all clubs who travelled from as far as Galway and Dublin to our very central location. All in all, it was a massively successful day and thank you to all involved.
