24 hour sleep out
Elaine Kelly and Emer Maguire are doing a 24 hour sleep out in aid of the Midlands Simon Community. They will be camped at Jacks Corner House and Super Valu Edgeworthstown on Friday 11th to Saturday 12th April. Please come along and support them. Lets hope the weather is kind.
Killeen Dramatic Society re-union
The Maiden Aunt, a three act play written by Rathowen native, Jimmy Keary.
The cast are putting the finishing touches to rehearsals and a great nights entertainment is anticipated when the curtain goes up for the opening night on Thursday 10th april in the Granard Community Centre, followed by a second showing on Friday, 11th April with admission, adults 10 euro and children 5 euro.
There a few local couples looking for your support in the Annebrooke Dream wedding competition. All you have to do is text the number 57199 followed by the couples number. So for Syliva Duke, Rathowen and her partner, text couple 14 to 57199. For Veronica Donnelly, Legan and her partner, text couple 44 to 57199. Maybe one of them will win this dream wedding with your support so get texting.
Registration for the coming year will take place on Sunday, 13th April, it will take place between 3 and 6pm for all age groups with the under 6, 8 and 10 first. There will be indoor soccer and treats after the game. The Reg fee is 30 euro per child. The children will be measured for their kit and including huddie on the day and deliver in a few weeks. Don’t forget your water bottle and gum shield.

Congratulations to the following who received the Sacrament of confirmation on Saturday last in St Mary’s church - Sarah Duke, Conor Ledwith, Maeve Greene, Thomas Doyle, Alex Ledwith, Ethan O’Hara, Owen Shaughnessy, Peter Beirne, Craig Cameron, Jennifer Kelly, Karen Kelly, Aisling Maguire, Ciara Maguire, Suzy Mooney, Dylan McKeon, Katie O’Connor and Kristy O’Shaughnessy, also to Emma Gaborova who received a special blessing on the day. Best wishes to them and their families.
