Northern Gaels G.F.C will hold a table quiz in Keogh’s on this Friday 27th September. With valuable prizes on offer a table of four is just €40. Your support would be very much appreciated. Proceedings will get underway at 9.00p.m.

Lotto Draw

St. Columba’s G.F.C held their weekly lotto draw in Keogh’s on Thursday September19th. Winning numbers were 1, 12, 19, 20 with the jackpot of €3500 remaining intact. Consolation prizes of €20 were won by the following. Owen Collumb, Larkfield. Melvin Kiernan, Dring. Cian McElligott, Toome. Geraldine McGovern, Larkfield and Pat Coyle, Portrane, Co. Dublin. On sales this week are as follows: Hideaway: Finbar Meehan. Keogh’s / Angler’s Rest: Rian Brady. Kilcogy: Thomas McNerney & Jim McCabe. Please drop tickets into Cloonagh P.O before 5.30p.m on Monday.

Ladies Footballers

As part of their fundraising activities the local ladies football club are holding a weekly draw based on the bonus ball in the main draw of the national lottery. Sheets are on sale in local shops or are available from any club member. Match the bonus ball in Saturday’s night main draw and you will earn yourself €20. Lines are just €2. Six monthly tickets are available for €50 by contacting Marie Matthews. Your support would be very much appreciated each week. Winning number from the draw on Saturday September 14th was 23. Number drawn on Saturday last was 42. Kevin Mulligan, Culleenmore and Martin McGovern, Larkfield came up trumps.

Bottle Caps

Mullinalaghta ladies footballers are collecting Lucozade bottle caps as advertised on television. This will enable the girls to get some free gear for the club. We urge all players, families, relations and friends to support this venture. Caps can be given in at all training sessions, matches, Cloonagh PO, and to any player or committee member. However October is the deadline to participate in this project. It is important to start collecting immediately.

Anyone interested in buying the new ‘’St. Columbas Top’’ are requested to contact club chairman Finbar Meehan as soon as possible. Samples are on display at Mulligan’s Shop and Cloonagh P.O. Prices are adults €35 and children €30.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi offers many benefits such as improved Balance and Circulation, greater Strength and Flexibilty, sounder Sleep. It restores calmness and peace of mind. Beginners Class, this Wednesday 25th September at 7.30p.m in the Temperance Hall, Longford.

Gun Club

Mullahoran – Mullinalaghta Gun Club will hold their annual raffle in the Hideaway Bar, Cloncovid on Friday 1st November. First prize is a Plasma Widescreen TV. The holder of the second ticket drawn will receive €200 with €100 for third place. There will also be numerous other spot prizes. Tickets are on sale in all local shops and from committee members at €5 each. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
