Mullahoran

U12 Victory

U12 Victory

The replay between Mullahoran and next door neighbours Ballymachugh took placer in Ballinagh on Monday evening last in very wintry conditions. Nevertheless both teams served up a thrilling match and were again level at the final whistle and with extra time it was touch and go in the fading light but the locals held out to win by just 1pt. This was a heartening display by the youngsters with some excellent individual performances and augurs well for the future of the game. Well done to the lads and their mentors. No such luck for our Senior team which exited the Championship on Friday evening going under to Cavan Gaels. Supporters expected more from this match which had some very poor refeering decisions and when we got 2 points ahead in the second half the game seemed to deteriorate and allowing for stoppages and injuries at least 10 minutes could have been added whereas only 6 were played. However, well done to the lads who have given us plenty to be happy about in the last 18 months.
