The late Johnny Blessington
There was genuine sadness and regret in the Area last Sunday when the news became known that Johnny Blessington of Aughakilmore had passed to his eternal reward. Johnny had been in failing health for sometime but his sudden death came as a big shock to his family and many friends. In his early sixties Johnny was son of the late Phil and Mrs Blessington and he was also pre-deceased by his loving sister, Rosaleen Prunty some years ago. Johnny was a kind decent man who will be greatly missed by all and we offer sincere sympathy to his brother Terry, sisters Eileen Brady, Aughakine and Mary Flemming, Maynooth, along with his nephews and nieces and extended family. May he rest in peace.
