The Longford Branch of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland will hold their Church Gate collection this weekend Saturday 28th September in Ballycloghan and Sunday 29th September in Legan. The money raised will greatly contribute to continue services such as home care, respite, day care facilities and a transport service. Please support generously.
The organisers of Hospice Coffee Morning and Cake Sale held after Masses in Ballycloghan and Legan last weekend would like to thank all the customary loyal supporters who donated so generously to the fundraiser again this year. A total of €505.00 was collected and donations are still coming in.
Well done to two Legan estates who won prizes again this year in County Longford Tidy Village Competition. Smithfield Crescent won 2nd prize of €800 and Foxhall Crescent won 3rd prize of €500. Great credit to all involved in the upkeep of these estates.
Congratulations to Michael Duke who married Lorraine Keogh recently. We wish them good health and happiness in their married life.
We extend deepest sympathy to the family of Jean Penny, Foxhall who passed away recently and to the family of TJ Ledwith, Ballynacargy who died tragically on Thursday last. May they rest in peace.
Results of GAA Lotto draw held on Monday 16th September in Mitchell’s for a jackpot of €7,650. Numbers drawn were 15, 19 22 and 23. There was no jackpot winner. Match three winners were Gerry Whyte and Mary Bannon. This week’s draw took place in Connaughton’s Rathowen and results will be published next week.
