Fundraising Hunt

A fundraising hunt will take place on Saturday 23rd November starting from St. Columba’s Church at 12 noon, Longford Harriers will participate this year. The hunt will be followed by refreshments in the Community Centre at 3:30p.m and a fundrasing auction will follow. Items for the auction would be much appreciated by contacting Bernie Rodgers or Patricia McNerney.

Social Dancing

Social dancing in the Pikers Lodge Hotel every Tuesday from 8-10p.m. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a night of dancing and exercise.

Table Quiz

Table Quiz will be held in the Pikers Lodge Hotel Loch Gowna on Friday 29th November. Tables of 4 adults 40 euro. Juniors 20 Euro per table. Proceeds to Gowna G.A.A. Your support would be much appreciated.

Fishing Competition

Loch Gowna / Upper Erne Anglers will host the Jimmy Sloane Memorial Open Boat Fishing Competition on Sunday 24th November on Aughanoran Lake. Fishing from 11a.m till 4p.m. For more information contact Ciaran on 086-8579156.

DVD’s of the 1988 Gowna Senior Football Champions are now available in all local shops at a cost of 5 euro per DVD. Coverage of the match and the celebrations afterwards are included on the DVD.

‘Honk A Musical Comedy

The Cnoc Mhuire Transition Year class are currently putting the finishing touches to HONK , a musical comedy that is based on the story of the Ugly Duckling. It is a heart-warming tale that will be enjoyed by both young and old. The musical takes place in the school sports hall on 17th, 18th and 19th December at 7:30p.m. Tickets can be purchased from the school office on 043-6686231 or through the HONKline on 085-8409506. They are available now for the bargain price of 10 Euro each. So why not treat the family this festive season and come along to what promises to be a fantastic nights entertainment.

Gowna G.A.A. Development Fund Co-Lotto Draw result for the 11th of November: 9-10-28-29. Jackpot Winner – none. Paddy King, Colm Foy, Longford, J. Higgins, Loch Gowna, Kayleigh and Matt Lee, Arva and Desmond Coyle, Gowna all won 20 Euro. Next weeks jackpot is 2,400 Euro and will take place in Piker’s Lodge. Club Gowna Winner – Oct.
