‘Honk’ – A musical Comedy
The Cnoc Mhuire Transition year class are currently putting the finishing touches to Honk , a musical comedy that is based on the story of the ugly duckling. It is a heart-warming tale that will be enjoyed by both young and old. The musical takes place in the school sports hall on 17th, 18th and 19th December at 7.30pm. I have volunteered to take part in the new annual Movember no shave fundraiser. I am hoping to raise funds for organisations who have helped a number of children in our community. Max Wenman, Soran, 3½ has been attending Our Ladys Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin and recently got the all clear from cancer and Michael Murphy, Soran who has been attending Temple St Childrens Hospital Dublin. Sponsorship cards will be available locally and we will have shave off night in Farrells at 7pm. Please contact myself. Funds raised will go towards Temple St Hospital and Kids Paradise Dreams Come True, a Longford charity set up by Elizabeth Yorke.

Get out get Active
Sean Connollys club are organising the get out get active again this new year. Start up date January 4th 2014. Meetings will be held over the next couple of weeks to arrange teams and programme. All players and members are requested to get involved as this was a very successful event last year and also enjoyable after the Christmas festivities. With a little extra effort the number of teams could be doubled this time. Facebook will be giving all the info shortly and just to get us in a little walking practice before Christmas, lights will be on at Maguire Park on Tuesday and Friday nights 7pm to 9pm. So next Tuesday night Nov 19th get walking.
