IT’S PANTO TIME AGAIN… oh no its isn’t, oh yes it is!! Students from Ballymahon Vocational School are getting ready to take on the Dickens classic, ‘Scrooge; A Christmas Carol’. Why not join Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future in a show that will provide much interaction with the audience? So get ready to embark on a pantomime experience unlike any other! Ballymahon Vocational School has a strong and rich history in pantomime and drama, dating over the years and thus patrons can be assured of a show full of drama, comedy and dance with a few surprises each night!! ‘Work4You’ set up by Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides a free vocational assessment service for individuals who have an acquired brain injury and would like assistance and guidance in returning to work, training or education. It is free to anyone with an acquired brain injury and in receipt of a payment from the Department of Social Protection. If you are interested in the service or would like more information, Work4You are holding a Pop-Up Information Stand in Longford Library on Tuesday 26th November 2013 between 11am-1pm. Rassaun Craft Group
Rassaun Craft Group would like to thank everyone who took part in our Charity Sale held in Ballinamuck on 10th November – our generous sponsors, our friends, our helpers and particularly those of you who joined us on the day and helped us to raise the amazing sum of just over €3800 which has been divided equally between the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and Stop Suicide. Both Charities have also asked that we say a very big thank you to you all – the money will make a huge difference to people to whom they provide such invaluable support.

Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu International Karate
A huge well done to all in Newtown who attended the Christmas celebrations in the Dome Retail Centre last Friday night. We had a huge crowd and a great demonstration. The atmosphere was electric and the support was tremendous. Also thank you to our Kilglass students who attended the event.
