Got An Idea: St. Columba’s N.S. Board of Management would like to invite you to put forward your ideas as to what should be done with our old school building. The building has recently been renovated, so we now need to get it up and running as a working building. All suggestions are welcome. If you would like to make a proposal as to what purpose it could hold, please write down your idea and post back or hand into school.
Ladies Footballers: As part of their fundraising activities the local ladies football club are holding a weekly draw based on the bonus ball in the main draw of the national lottery. Sheets are on sale in local shops or are available from any club member. Match the bonus ball o n Saturday’s night you will earn yourself €20. Lines are just €2. Community Games: Abbeylara / Mullinalaghta community games have entered in the following events : Mixed basketball U 11, Boys basketball U 13, Girls basketball U 13, Boys futsal U 13, Girls futsal U 13 and U 10 mixed Gaelic football. The boys futsal games will be played on Saturday 23rd March in Kenagh community centre at 6.00p.m. The girls games will take place at the same venue and time on Sunday 24th March. The basketball matches will take place over the next few weeks with the finals being held in Kenagh on Sunday 24th March at 6.00p.m. Basketball and futsal training will take place over the next few weeks. Details will be published later. Mixed cross country running in Ballymahon on Saturday 2nd March at 11a.m. All interested are welcome to come along and participate in 700M and 500M races. New Arrival : Congratulations to John and Fiona Reilly, Mullinroe on the birth of their third child a baby boy to be named Korey and a very welcome brother for Kian and Kathlyn. The happy event took place at Cavan General Hospital. We are delighted to say that Fiona and her her little bundle of joy arrived home to Mullinalaghta on Friday and both are in excellent health. We are reliably informed that both sets of grandparents, Sean and Bridget, Myles and Nuala are overjoyed with the arrival of another grandchild.
