The Playground is now open to the public and so is the new Community Park. There will be new bins put around the green area but for the present time please use the bins supplied in the Play Ground. This is a public amenity area and there are rules which will be listed when RCD get signs up but we ask the Community to enjoy and respect this new park and understand that there are a few more jobs to get finished.
Next draw is Monday September 16th. Results of last draw held 2nd Sept was no winner. The winning numbers were 1, 12, 16, 18, the drawn €30 winners were James Mannion, Marie Murphy and Mary Murphy. Tickets can be brought in Rathowen Post Office, Connaughton’s Pub, along with several people selling. If you would like to sell a book please contact Peter or Liz on 6676189. It’s worth buying a ticket and remember if you’re not in you can’t win!!!!!
The Legan Vintage Club tractor fundraising draw is in aid of the Disabled People of Longford the Phoenix Centre. Draw will take place on the 5th October 2013 in the Village House Rathowen, Tickets are €5 each or a book of 5 for €20. Please support this very worthy cause, tickets will be on sale at the Gathering on the 31st or call on any committee member. 1st prize: Ferguson 20 TVO; 2nd prize: LCD Colour TV, 3rd prize: Weekend away for 2
Community Welfare services
Closure of Streete Clinic, from 12th August 2013, Community Welfare Service will no longer be provided in Streete Health Centre. Persons wishing to access the Community Welfare Service should attend Edgeworthstown Health Centre on Wednesday’s from 2pm to 3pm.
