League: Arva had their first outing in the 2013 Brady’s Arva Volkswagen All County Football League Division 3 on Sunday last when they defeated Templeport in Michael Cully Park on a score line Arva 1-13 Templeport 0-3. While they had a 13 point winning margin it was only in the last quarter that they really took control. On the day Templeport did not perform and a missed goal early in the game would have put them clear at a time when the exchanges were evenly matched. A serious injury to one of the visitingplayers took the gloss of the game and on behalf of the Arva Club we wish him a speedy recovery. Arva team and scorers – Richard Keith, Stephen Ellis, James Morris, Shane Finnegan, Ciaran Brady (0-3), Thomas Brady, Jonathan Mc Cabe, Brian Fitzpatrick, Fergal Mc Glade, Gavin Doyle, Sean Mc Manus, Bryan Mc Entee, Ciaran Cooney (0-1), Kevin Bouchier (1-2), Conal Sheridan (0-6 – 4 frees). Subs – Alan Barry (0-1), Shane Mc Entee, Raymond Daly, Damien Simpson, Dermot Mc Glade.
