St Anne’s Church: The renovations carried out on St Anne’s Church, Scramogue over recent weeks are wonderful, and one must pay great tribute to the small group of local people who spearheaded this work. The new porches, new carpet, some new plastering and painting makes our local Church look really well. I urge everyone who can to support our card drive in Leavy’s pub on Friday night next please do so.
Benefit Fund for Dermot Keane: A benefit function in support of Dermot Keane originally from Triala Dillon, Curraghroe will take place in St.Faithleach’s GAA Centre on Saturday 29th December. Demot is son of Bill and the late Peggy Keane and currently lives in Australia. He has been struck down with a serious illness. There is grave concern about Dermot’s long term health and a committee has been formed to raise funds to help Dermot. He may need to return home if well enough sometime in the future. Tickets are been sold door to door and there has been an unbelievable response from the general public. Tickets are priced at ten euro. All musicians have are giving of their services free on the night. Please do what you can to help this cause.(See article elsewhere in this paper).
Ballyfeeney NS Christmas Concert: Ballyfeeney National School Christmas Concert takes place in St.Anne’s Church, Scramogue on Sunday evening next 16th December at 6pm.Donations to Parents Association at the door. Complimentary teas and coffees and mince pies in Leavy’s Lounge after Concert. All are welcome.
