PROGRESSIVE 25: Progressive 25 is coming to a close for this season and is close at the top, to see who wins the prize for the most wins. It’s a three act comedy called the “ 2 Loves of Gabriel Foley”. A very funny play and is being performed by the “Acron Players” well worth coming to see. The wall around the centre is now finished. The bottle bank overhaul and update is nearly finished . Also we hope to have it finished for Christmas. We will be looking for ideas of how to put the finished touch to the three steps each side, so if you have any ideas do give them to us. More next week.

KILLOE COMMUNITY GAMES: It was another busy week for our Draughts Teams. Our U10 Killoe A Team met Lanesboro in the semi-final on Tuesday night of last week. It was a very close run match – our boys and girls lost out. Hard luck and well done for participating and training over the last number of weeks. Our U10 Killoe B Team met Lanesboro in the County Final which was held in Kenagh on Friday night last. Final Score Killoe B 8 – Lanesboro 2. Well done and congratulations to the Team of Jack Reichert, Gavin Farrelly, Joe Morrissey, David Moorhead, Jack Finneran, Rachel Eivers and Caitlin Hughes.

WEDDING: Congratulations to Martin Lennon son of Vincent and Ann Esker Killoe who exchanged nuptial vows with Joanne Kilkelly,daughter of Mick and Maura, Corafin Co Galway joined by families and friends in Corafin Church Cloonacainoon Co Galway. A vibrant lively reception was immensely enjoyed by everyone including the Lennon families from Australia/USA in Cucanion Castle Claregalway Co Galway. The parish extend good wishes to Martin Joanne and their families for many years of healthy wedded bliss.

GAA: Congrats ! To Emmet Og Killoe U21 team and mentors on their co championship win V Drumlish on Friday last. Also congrats to our young Killoe players including Pauric McCormack (player of the year) who received accolades in recognition for their outstanding talented abilities at the awards in the Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule last weekend. We extend good luck on Sunday December 16 2012 to everyone when they compete for the final of the Leader Cup V Slashers Longford in Pearse Park at 2pm.

CONDOLENCE: Sincere sympathy is extended to the Conway families Ballygarve Killoe /Monaghan on the sad bereavement of their mother Mrs Mary Conway (formerly Cloone Co Leitrim) who was laid to rest last week. The parish express their condolence to Mary’s sons Brendan Noel Pauric ,daughters in law grandchildren extended families friends. Requiem mass was celebrated in St Marys Church Cloone Co Leitrim with burial in the local cemetery. May she rest in peace.
