McCartin SD Class Championships: Easter Saturday was a day of great excitement in Drumreilly when the annual Mc Cartin SD Class Championship Feis was held in the Community Centre. Adjudicators for the day were Ms Marian Kiernan ADCRN, Co. Longford and Ms Laura Waldron ODCRN and Ms Michelle Waldron ODCRN, Mayo. The Mc Cartin SD pupils competed across various grades from beginner to advanced, and after eight hours of dancing the following pupils featured amongst the winners. Division 1 Game: Drumreilly collected what may yet prove to be a valuable brace of Division 1 points with a 1-7 to 0-7 win over visitors Ballinamore SOH at Páirc Droim Oir Bhealaigh on last Sunday afternoon. The strong wind and squally showers, which abated considerably at the interval, proved over the hour to be the winners’ allies.
