Mostrim GAA: The Club would like to thank all those who helped out with our fundraiser at the Longford ploughing Championships on Sunday. The weather meant we had to cancel some of the planned activities. We’d like to thank the Ploughing Committee for inviting us to host the amusements. There was no jackpot winner in the last Lotto draw. Numbers drawn were 5, 9, 23, 28. Twenty-five euro winners were John Tully Main Street, Paul Keenan Ardagh, Tom McLoughlin Bracklin, Billy McLoughlin Kilsallagh.

Community Games: Our Annual Community Games outdoor track & field event for all the children of the parish will be held this coming Sunday 21st April @ 1.30 @ the Hugh Devine G.A.A. pitch. Events will include sprints, hurdles, long puck, novelty races to mention but a few. All children under 16 are free . The great news is that Longford County Committee want to double participation so we will be putting forward to Ballymahon County finals both first & second place in each event. Any queries or if you would like to help in any way please contact Cathal 0872621538. Come on out & join the fun even if you aren’t participating come to cheer on the children, grandchildren. We entered our first team in the pitch & putt event which was held on Sunday last 14th April. Well done to Thomas Doyle, Dylan Costello, Daniel Connell, Liam Sheridan & Joe Gaffney. APRIL SONGS OF PRAISE: Corboy Presbyterian Church is holding an April Songs of Praise on Sunday 21st April at 3pm. The Offering at this event will be in aid of Longford Hospice. Special Guest: James Kilbane, the Gospel singer from Achill who featured in the Irish television show You’re A Star. Refreshments afterwards in the Corboy Church Hall. All welcome.

All Ireland Final: Congratulations to Cnoc Mhuire, Granard, when they travelled to Croke Park Saturday last for the All Ireland Vocational School Senior A Championship Final where they beat Tyrone 2-13 to 2-12. Representing Edgeworthstown were, Luke Kelly and John Gaffney.
