COMMUNITY ALERT: There will be a meeting of Kenagh and district community alert in Saint Dominics Centre on Thursday May 2nd at 8pm. All townlands should be represented. Arrangements will be finalised to set up a text alert in the locality.
TITANIC EXHIBITION: The Carrickedmond PTAA trip to the Titanic Exhibition in Belfast will take place on Sunday 30th June. Bus and admission to the exhibition will cost Adults 30 euro; children (U16) 23 euro; children (U5) 12.50 euro. THANKS: The committee of disabled people of Longford wish to thank all who supported their church gate collection which was taken up last weekend. The amount collected was 346 euro. Thanks also to the local people who took up the collection.
TABLE QUIZ: There will be a table quiz in Gav’s Bar Kenagh on this coming Friday night at 9pm. Proceeds will go to the Midland Draught Horse Society. Tables of four will be forty euro each with raffle and refreshments at the interval. Your support will be greatly appreciated especially from local clubs.

BIKE RALLY: Bicycle enthusiasts from all parts of the country are invited to come and take part in a very novel high nellie bicycle rally in Kenagh village on Sunday May 12 at 12 noon. Although this event is being organised for high nellies it will be open to all corners from all localities.
PROGRESSIVE TWENTY FIVE : Winners in Saint Dominics Centre last Thursday night were Berney and Tom eleven games they win seventy euro; Mary and Jimmy ten games win forty euro. Table prizes Berney and Eugene Peter and Freda win twenty euro each. Raffle Ita Farrell Tommy O’Malley, Paddy Conway Mick Maguire , John O’Hara and Tommy O’Malley all win ten euro each.
KILCOMMOCK CEMETERY: There will be a very important meeting in Saint Dominics Centre on next Monday night April 29th at 8.30pm to discuss the proposed extension to the existing grounds. As the present cemetery is now closed with no further plots available it is very important that the general public should be aware of the present position. Land has been secured by Longford County Council from the adjoining landowner. So the way is now open for this necessary extension. All those interested are invited to attend this meeting with a view to forming a working committee to help develop the site for future generations.
