DATES FOR YOUR DISARY: Big Guerilla Productions present Sand Park by Seamus O’Rourke on Wednesday 13, Thursday 14 and Friday 15 February 2013. The Sand Park is the sometimes hilarious account of how James Anthony Lowery, a man in his mid fifties, came to terms with the death of his son, fifteen years ago and now more recently, his wife Rose. It’s a play about rural Irish life and the way we cope with the inevitable, it’s a play about how life and death and humour and love and sadness all live in the same house together and then a strange thing happens. The Corn Mill Theatre Group present a comedy Brother of the Brush by Jimmy Murphy and directed by Sean McIntyre on Friday 22 Saturday 23 & Friday 28 and Friday 1 & Saturday 2 March 2013. Brothers of the Brush tells how house painters, patching over the cracks of an old house, misuse each other for their own advantage. In a world blighted by economic recession with workers losing faith in old ideologies, Brothers of the Brush demonstrates just how fragile allegiances are when personal interests are at stake.
