ENGAGED: Congrats to Seamus McEvoy Lislea and Grace Quinn, Drumlish who got engaged recently. We wish them well in their preparations.

AGM: Sean Connollys GAA Club AGM took place last Friday night. There was one change in the executive with Jacinta Reynolds taking the role of Irish Officer. Sincere thanks to Martina Reynolds for all her work in the position promoting Scor within the parish for the last number of years. More details next week.

BLOOD CLINIC: On Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th Feb from 5- 8.30pm in St Brigids CC Lough Gowna. Remember patients in hospitals need our blood and the need never ceases.

GET OUT GET ACTIVE: Now into the final week, activities finish on Saturday next Feb 16th. Team leaders will be notified about the arrangements during the week. Aerobics on Thursday night 7 – 8 and 8-9.Now the push is on to find a winner.

BOTTLE BANK: In recent weeks a number of people have been fined for dumping at the bottlebank. These have not gone to court as they have made a donation to the Tidy Towns. However any further people caught will involve a court appearance and publication. This includes bottles etc behind the timber and not in the containers. It was a disgrace the state it was left in over the Christmas period. It was disappointing also that a local person dumped their household rubbish alongside the bank on Christmas evening at 5pm. Council officials will be dealing with this individual.

GYM: Membership of the gym for 2013 is now due. Cost 150 euro. Contact Michael Carrigy or Andy NcNamee.

DEEPEST SYMPATHY: Deepest sympathy to Peter Gill and family Gaigue, Ballinamuck on the death of Frank Gill , Drumlish who died suddenly at the weekend. RIP.

HALL: The local hall will close for 6 weeks starting March 4th for complete renovations. Foroige information night tonight at 8pm in the hall re our Foroige club for 13 – 18 year olds. Jim Maher from Foroige will attend.

Play: The local parish hall committee are hosting a fundraising event on Friday February 22 at 8pm. The Acorn Players from Co Leitrim will present ‘The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley’, a hilarious comedy in three acts written by Jimmy Keary. This will be the last event in the parish hall prior to being closed for refurbishment. Funds raised on the night go towards refurbishment costs. Tickets 10 euro, available from Micheal Carrigy.
