FIRST COMMUNION: Congratulations to the following pupils of Kenagh National School who made their first Communion in Saint Dominics Church last Saturday morning May 19th. Cian Farrell, Martin Gavin, Ben Campbell, Conor Flanagan, Sean Maynard, Alex Mulvihill-McNamara, Aishling Manser, Robyn Higgins, Aisling Gorman, Nia Bartran, Aine Dalton, Grainne Donohoe, Maeve Carberry, Derci Kelly and Ella Hunt. The fifteen children of second class were prepared by their teacher Miss Hughes assisted by Mrs McGrath for their big day. The church was packed to capacity for the occasion. The weather was very suitable being dry and reasonably warm.

COMMUNITY ALERT: There will be a community alert meeting in Saint Dominics Centre on this coming Wednesday night May 23rd at 8pm. All community members please attend.

OUTING: A bus will be going to Holy Cross Abbey, Co Tipperary on the Saint Padre Pio annual pilgrimage on Sunday May 27th. There will be a free bus leaving Granard at 8am on next Sunday morning. To book a seat please contact Mary on 087 7858362 or Peter on 087 6613510. The bus will be going through Kenagh and Ballymahon en route. Voluntary donations will be accepted for Padre Pio charity. All welcome.

BALLYMAHON CREDIT UNION: Details of the annual Ballymahon & District Credit Union scholarship for leaving Certificate students were recently announced. The scholarship is open to leaving Certificate students of the vocational school and Mercy Secondary School in Ballymahon. All students who wish to enter the draw must be a member of the Credit Union on or before 31 May 2012. Applicants must be commencing a FAS apprenticeship or a full time certificate, diploma or degree course at a university, IT or approved third level college. The scholarship will be paid at a rate of 1000 euro per annum or a maximum of three years. Further details are available from the office of Ballymahon & district credit union.

PROGRESSIVE TWENTY FIVE: Winners in Saint Dominics Centre last Thursday night were Mary and Liz 12 games eighty euro; Niall and Liz Dan and Mike eleven games twenty euro each. Table prizes Kathleen and Annie, John and Larry twenty euro each. Raffle Mary Gallagher Peter Donlon Jimmy Donegan Bernie Smith Peter Donlon Tom Nohilly all get ten euro each.

LOTTO: The numbers drawn in Kenagh GAA Lotto for Sunday May 13 were 1,9,15,20. There were four match three winners Broady Duignan, Rory O’Connor, Bradly and Sharon Casserly and Daniel, c/o Dara McGann all get twenty euro each.

LOTTO: The numbers drawn in Kenagh GAA Lotto for May 21 were 1,3,22,23. There was one match three winner Eileen and Mike Hanley Lanesboro wins seventy five euro. 13200 euro going on four correct numbers next week in Foigha.
