SYMPATHY: It was with deep regret that we learned of the death of Michael Leddy Dingins Corlesmore which occurred suddenly at his home on Sunday 6th May. Michael was a very friendly and gentle person and highly respected in the community. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and especially by his brothers James and Vincent , sisters Mary Julie Helen Ann Nuala brothers in law nephews nieces relatives and friends to whom, we extend our deepest sympathy. His remains were removed from Finnegans Funeral Home Cavan on Tuesday evening to the Church of the Holy Family Loch Gowna and following requiem mass on Wednesday burial took place in adjoining cemetery. May he rest in peace.

VICTORS DUNG: The hilarious play Victors Dung returns to Ballinagh Community Centre on Saturday 26th May in association with Gowna GAA. Show will commence at 8.30pm. Admission 10 euro.

COMMUNITY GAMES: Congratulations to Una Shields who will represent Cavan in the recitation . Also to the under 10 football team who won the county final. Gowna participants were Ciaran Boylan, Tiarnan Madden, Cormac Boylan, Diarmuid Boylan and Ryan Brady. The under 13 basketball team won on Sunday against St Pat’s and Gowna was represented by Cian Madden. All participants go forward to represent Cavan in Letterkenny on 23rd June.
