Christmas Whist Drive: The monthly whist drive will be held in the Community Centre on Thursday December 6th at 8.30pm. As this is the Christmas whist there will be prizes galore plue a hamper also extra prizes in ticket draw. All welcome.
4 Locks Cycling Club: There has been a surge of interest in leisure cycling in Ireland in recent years. No one doubts the benefits of cycling. It is a good low joint impact sport, it will help you sleep better, you will look younger, it is good for your brain, it builds up your immune system, it helps you to live longer, it cuts your risk of heart disease, it helps you loose weight, get fit, burn more fat, develop a positive addiction, get a legal high, make friends, be happy and stay healthy. A new leisure cycling club is in the process of being set up. It is called the 4 Locks Cycling Club and is based on the Ballinamore Credit Union area. Of course anyone interested from outside these areas is welcome to join. So far there are over thirty people interested. The club is in the process of registering with Cycling Ireland and is looking for people to register with the club. There will be a registration night on Wednesday 5 December in Smyth’s Siopa Tae. Gerard Lynch, of Trailblalazers bike shop, a very keen cyclist, will give a talk on cycling between 8 and 9 p.m. followed by a information session and registration. All welcome to attend.

Music only Table Quiz: Saturday 1st December @ 9.30pm in Quinn’s Bar , Fenagh €30 per table of 4. Proceeds to the Aisling Centre in NY to help with the continuing problems for Irish emmigrants and others still suffering from the after effects of Hurricane Sandy. Bridge Club: Results of bridge held on Thursday 29th November are as follows - 1st Marian Quinn and Evelyn Smith; 2nd Carrie Maroney and Maureen Dolphin; 3rd Bernie Flynn and Monica Sharpley. No bridge on Thursday 6th as whist takes place in the community centre. Bridge resumes on Thursday 13th with final night on 20th December. All players most welcome.
Fashion event: On Saturday 8th December at 2pm, a fashion event in aid of North West hospice and Crumlin Children’s Hospital is taking place in Fatima Secondary School Ballinamore it starts at 2pm. This event will include a fashion show, displaying high-quality new or almost-new clothing at bargain prices. There will also be a cheese and wine reception. We are in search of high-quality new or almost-new clothing, hats, shoes or headpieces which you are willing to sell. Please send these items into the school by the 30th November. VINTAGE TRACTOR MEETING: The Annual General Meeting of the South Leitrim/West Cavan Vintage Tractor Club will be held on Monday the 10th of December at 9pm in Corlough Community Centre. ( beside Martins Coaches on the Swanlinbar road,3 miles from Ballinamore). A representative from FBD Insurance will be in attendance on the night to discuss all aspects of vintage insurance.
