GUN CLUB NOTES: Club membership and insurance expired on 31st July. This should be renewed as soon as possible. New members are always welcome. We recently entered two teams into the county shoot and came away with two second places,one in each category. All the practice paid off and hopefully next year we can go one better. Intermediate team: Martin Carberry, David Mulvihill, Noel Carbery, John McCormack, Derek O’Halloran. Junior team: Willie Ruske, Pat Dooner Aaron McKeon, Shane Lennon, George Ruske. Practise continues on Sunday mornings at 11am in our shooting grounds with the three traps in use.

LONGFORD CITIZENS: Co Longford Citizens Information is hosting a series of free pension advice days 17th, 18th and 19th August, 1st floor Longford shopping centre.
