SIGNATURE FOR POSTERITY: Local artist and gallery owner, Lorraine O’Brien has a new project for the community called ‘A Signature for Posterity’. The Community is invited to call in to Rathowen Stores and sign their name to the giant canvas that Lorraine has in store. Any member of the community who wishes to participate, is asked to sign your signature with whatever medium or colour you wish, paint marker pen or pencil. (Markers are provided). The canvas will be in Rathowen Stores (beside the Post Office) for a month and it will be then framed and put on display at Alla Prima Art Gallery during the weekend of the Festival. Remember the posterity of any community is the community itself so come and immortalize yourself on canvas!
