CONDOLENCE: The parish extend sincere sympathy to Ita Hughes and families, Drumhaughley, Killoe, Gannon famlies Legan Co Longford extend families, friends on the sad bereavement of their father Bernard (Bernie), Legan, Co Longford (predeceased by his wife Kitty), who was laid to rest last week. Requiem mass was celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Legan with burial afterwards in the new cemetery. May he rest in peace. Condolence is also extended to Mrs Margaret Toher and families Ennybegs Killoe, Murray/Oates families Bekan, Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo on the sad bereavement of her sister Mary Murray, who was laid to rest last week. May she rest in peace.

Fr Hogan (Drumlish) will celebrate Mass in Killoe parish Saturday 4Sun 5 August 2012, Fr Casey will celebrate in Drumlish, Fr O’Hara will celebrate in Newtownforbes as Fr McGovern’s on annual leave. Proposed exchanges unless unforseen pastoral circumstances occur. Legion of Mary Longford have provided holy water etc at the Church door and are free for your personal use.

SYMPATHY: Sincere condolence is extended to May Donlon and families, Park Road, Longford on the sad bereavement of her husband Tony (proprietor of Donlon Couriers Ltd) who was laid to rest last week. Condolence is expressed to his wife May, son Mark daughters Niamh (Flaherty), June (Collumb), sons in-law Joe, Peter, daughters in-law Deirdre, brother in-law John Joe, grandchildren, extended relatives friends. DEFIBRILLATOR: We are delighted to inform parishioners there are two defibrillators in the Ennybegs area. One positioned at Ennybegs Community Centreone at Tommy McCormack’s in Bawn. Cards will be distributed to homes with trained persons names. A fundraiser will be held in the Old Forge on Saturday 28 July 2012 to raise funds for a third defibrillator. Persons interested in training especially Esker, Dernacross, Corneddan areas please contact Mary McCormack 043 3324317 or any committee member.

COMMUNITY GAMES: Killoe Community Games Annual Social Night and Fundraiser will take place in Begley’s Pub, Ennybegs, on Saturday night, the 18th. August, 2012.

Old Graveyard Killoe: A Committee was set up some time ago to organise the Old Graveyard in Killoe to be newly landscaped, levelled and reseeded and that the headstones that were falling down be re-erected. These works have been carried out and a rededication ceremony will be organised for late August or early September 2012.
