EASTER FETE - Kenagh Parents Association annual fete April 17th 2pm – 4pm St Dominics Community Centre Kenagh. Please support our 4th fete by donating bric a brac, toys, books and indeed baking a cake to sell on the day.
All monies raised are used for the children of St Dominics National School where the parents association produce a varied and interesting calendar of events during the school year. Forms are now available for parents who wish to have their children enrolled in Kenagh school for the year 2011 – 2012. Enrolment forms can be obtained by calling into the school or by ringing 33 22456. Closing date for receipt of enrolment forms is Friday April 15th 2011.
County Longford ploughing championships will be held in the Mulvihill Farm at Lisnaskey Ballymahon on Sunday April 10th. Preparaions are now almost complete for this major social occasion. The novice tests were held at Glanmore last Saturday in ideal weather conditions. Up to twenty competitors took part in the event which was enjoyed by over one hundred spectators.

Winners in Saint Dominics Hall last Thursday night were Ned and Tom, Mike and Simon and Dan and Mike ten games. Table prizes Mary and Tommy Pat Joe and Sean all get twenty euro each. Raffle Betty Gerety, Tom Farrell, Billy Dolan, Mark Grehan Noreen Gibbons, Paddy Joe Fallon all get ten euro each.
The numbers drawn in Kenagh GAA Lotto last Sunday night were 6, 10, 11, 14. There were two match three winners Orla Sheehan Kenagh and Ciaran Clyne Newtowncashel win forty euro each. 7200 euro going on four correct numbers next week.
Congratulations to Ashling O’Donnell and her husband on the birth of a baby girl. Ashling is formerly Ashling McGann daughter of Tommy Joe Dernalough.
Congratulations to Tommy Doyle son of Brian and Tess who won at a car rally in New York. He was driving a vivo car owned by Enda McCormack formerly from Kenagh. Tommy was accompanied by his father Brian.
A talk on the correct ways to exercise is being held in the Community Centre on Wednesday March 30 at 8pm. Anyone interested is invited to attend.
