Community

Playgroup Ltd

Gortletteragh Community Playgroup would like to thank all those who attended our recent ‘Coffee morning and cake sale’.  It was a resounding success raising €1,125.   Well done to all the parents (and their family and friends) who baked such lovely cakes and buns for the day, they went down a treat.  Thanks also to everyone who donated spot prizes and a special thanks to those who couldn’t attend but sent in donations. Thanks to Josie and Patricia for all their hard work in preparing the playschool and the NS for the use of tables and chairs on the day.

Monthly GAA draw

The draw for the month of March takes place on Saturday 9th April in Frank and Ita Flynn’s pub in Ballinamore. In conjunction with the draw we are putting on a bus, so our faithful supporters can come along for a great night’s craic in Pat Jo’s pub - it will be like home from home, with Sean Mahon providing the music on the night. To book a place on the bus contact any club member and we will give full details of bus departure etc., in next weeks issue.

Poetry Prize Winner

Congratulations to Cissie Bohan, Drumgownagh, whose poem ‘The Half Door’ was one of the winners in The Poet Higgins Society’s Poetry competition. Cissie, who is a well established writer, received her award at a function in Fox’s on Friday night last from committee secretary, Eileen Byrne.
