CLUB ARDAGH - Club Ardagh took part in the national pyjama day on Friday last 25th March 2011. A very enjoyable day was had by both staff and children and funds were raised for.
The Irish Hospice Foundation (IHF) Hospice Homecare for Children programme. This is a very worthy cause and it was a great excuse to have a PJ day at work. We thank all who donated to this worthy cause and all the parents for their support on this day.
Club Ardagh are hoping to run a study skills seminar on a date during the easter break. This seminar is aimed at all second level students with two seminars taking place on the day, one for first to third years and the other for 4th to leaving certificate. Sometimes students can spend hours studying but if they dont have the essential skills and know how to study then hours of studying may not be as beneficial as it should be. This seminar will be carried out by qualified teachers who have a vast experience in all areas of second level education. Easter Camps will take place in Club Ardagh over the two weeks when the schools are closed during Easter Break. Arts/Crafts, Baking, Pottery Making and Basketball are this easters events. Places are limited to 20. Camps can be full days for national school aged children or mornings only for pre-schoolers. Watch these notes for more details. Scoil Bhride Parents Association will hold a table quiz at Scoil Bhride Glen on Friday April 1, 2011 at 7.30pm. Guaranteed to be a fun night with categories to suit all ages. All are welcome. Raffle on the night. Refreshments will be provided. Proceeds from the table quiz will benefit our students.
Bring & Buy Sale
Ardagh Toddler Group is having a fund-raiser Coffee Morning and Cake Sale and would like to incorporate a St Mel’s N.S. uniform Bring & Buy Sale on Tuesday 12th April, between 10-12am in the Community Centre. Depending on the success of the “Bringing and Buying” we may have one next term on a Saturday morning to make it more accessible. The Toddler Group is having a fund-raising Coffee Morning and Cake Sale on Tuesday 12th April between 10-12am in Ardagh Community Centre. All are welcome to join us and we hope to incorporate a school uniform Bring & Buy Sale into the morning.
