GAA Lotto

Last week’s GAA Lotto Draw was held in Slowey’s, Kinard for a jackpot of 1450 euro. The numbers drawn were 13, 17, 24 and 26. There was no jackpot winner. Match three winners of 50 euro each were The Boot and Sinead Ward. This week’s draw was held in Casey’s, Carrickboy for a jackpot of 1500 euro, results of which will be published next week.

Aurora Club

A meeting of the Aurora Club Committee takes place this Thursday 26th May 2011 in Milly’s Cottage at 8pm. All involved are asked to attend.

First Holy

Communion

First Holy Communion is taking place in St Mary’s Church, Legan this Sunday 29th May 2011 at 11.00am. We wish the very best of luck to all the children from Lenamore NS receiving the Sacrament , and to their families and all involved in preparing for this event too.

Cemetery Masses

Cemetery Masses will take place in the local Cemeteries this July. Please inform relatives and friends of the deceased of the times and dates of the individual Cemetery Masses. They are as follows: Friday July 8th at 8.00pm in Foxhall Cemetery, Friday July 15th at 8.00pm in Kilglass Cemetery and Friday July 22nd at 8.00pm in Agharra Cemetery.

Graduation

Congratulations to Julie Campbell, Tully, Carrickboy who qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from University College Dublin (UCD) recently. Julie is daughter of David and Gillian Campbell. We wish Julie all the best in her future career.

Greyhound Success

Well done to Pat Byrne, Corracorkey whose greyhound “Legan Star” has had great success recently in a number of competitions and has also qualified for a Sweep Stake taking place this week. We wish Pat and Legan Star the very best of luck in this competition and indeed in all his races in the future.
