TAKE ME OUT - On Saturday night next May 28th a Take Me Out night will be staged in Creegan’s of Bunlahy as part of the Fundraising efforts of the Lourdes invalid pilgrimage.
This promises to be a great night out with a number of well known and popular young men and women taking part. Music on the night is by Colin Nugent and the master of ceremonies will be the one and only David-Butch-Cassidy direct from Strictly come Dancing. Admission is optional and your support will be greatly appreciated. Proceedings get underway at 9pm sharp.
We extend deepest and sincere sympathy to Marita Mathews and family on the death of her mother Mrs Bannon which occurred in Mohill last week. May she rest in peace.
THE LATE MARY HUGHES
The death has taken place in our lady’s manor in Edgeworthstown of Mary Hughes of Gorvagh Ballinalee following a long illness. Mrs. Hughes was the former Mary Mulhaire from Ballymore and she was a lovely lady who was very popular with everyone she met. Mary will be sadly missed by her husband Joe and their family along with the extended Hughes and Mulhaire families. May she rest in peace.

On Sunday June 5th a group of lads from the Ballymore/Granard/Colmcille areas will set out on 110 mile cycle from Longford to Croagh Patrick and on arriving there they will climb the famous Reek and Granard’s Parish Preist Fr.Simon Cadam will celebrate Holy Mass on the reek at around 5-oopm.Fr. Simon hopes to run a bus on the day and anyone willing to climb Croagh Patrick should contact Fr. Simon and give your name. All proceeds from this cycle and climb will go towards Fr.Simon’s Lourdes invalid fund so please lend your support
Ballymore GAA will hold their monthly draw in Creegan’s Bunlahy on Sunday night next and best of luck to all patrons.
The season finished on a high note with the last game of league season with a win over Ardagh to win the u16 league and complete the double as winning the cup from previous week over Ratharney. This game was played in a good sporting manner in wet and windy conditions, but after 90 minutes plus football edged out worthywinners on a scoreline of 4 -3 and will be presented with cup at later date.
