There’ll be blood, sweat and tears in the Fiddlers Green pub on Saturday 28th May when members of our local village get ready to rumble and take to the ring to raise money for the Boherquill Church renovations and Streete Tidy Towns. After ten weeks of intensive training in Ballinagore Boxing club 18 boxers, 16 male and 2 females, will lace up their gloves at the Fiddlers Green to compete in the village’s first ever White Collar Boxing Fundraiser. It promises to be an excellent night’s entertainment and not only will there be a series of three-round bouts to get the crowd excited and off their feet, the crowd will be entertained by the well known band Kay Tu. Admission on the door is €10. All are welcome over to Streete and the Fiddlers Green Pub. Best of luck to the line up of guys & gals that are boxing, it will certainly be entertaining.
