Takes place on Sun 5th June with Rosary &Mass in the Cemetery. Please clean and tidy the Cemetery before then. Thanks very much to the people who recently mowed the grass and tidied this Cemetery.

Cemetery Sunday Finea

Cemetery Sunday will take place on the 5th June at 10.30am mass. Note Mass time is 10.30am. Grave ushers are required to tidy up their graves in Finea Cemetery. Barbecue in Watty’s Rock Pub for Parish Funding. Please support.

Parish Draw

On Friday 27th May in Abbeylara after the 7.30 Mass. You are welcome to attend. Any money due to the Draw please hand in before then. Abbeylara Field Day

On Sunday 12th June in Abbeylara. Tractor Pulling, Truck Pulling Demonstration., Vintage Parade and Display of Cars Tractors and Motor Bikes. Midget Car Racing, Fun Fair and much, much  more including many family activities. With your support this will be the best field day ever. See posters for full details. Proceeds in aid of the Parish Centre. Tractor Pulling & Field Day also Truck Pulling Demonstration.  Ireland’s most powerful motor sport Sunday 12th June 2011 Abbeylara Co. Longford.  Modified pro stock and Super Farm Tractors appearing on the day. New this year - The Midget Car Racing Championship in association with Motor Sport Ireland.  This sport has not been in the Midlands in the past 25 years. Fun fair for all the little ones with Bumping Cars, Bouncing Castles, Goat Cart rides with Freddie the Goat, set to star at the Abbeylara event. American Cars and Trucks - Auto Jumble, Vintage Parade & Display of Cars, Tractors & Motor bikes. Proceeds in aid of Parish Centre. Admission €10 Children free. Rural Broadband

Midland Regional Authority are holding a public meeting in relation to the recently launched Rural Broadband Scheme. This scheme is for any household which is unable to receive a service from any of the providers at present. It is important that all households apply so as to get the funding necessary to provide the service to all. The meeting takes place in Granard Community Centre on Thursday June 2nd at 8pm.


Fine Gael Cllr Micheal Carrigy is holding a clinic this Saturday 28th May at 4.00 -5.00pm in Granard Credit Union. Please use back entrance.
